How Do We Worship?

Last week we covered why we worship. Today we look at how do we worship. Does how we worship matter?

God actually has an opinion on how we worship. I guess He does because worship is all about Him ...rather than all about us.

Worship is a humble and reverent action. It is done with joy and often expressed in singing and even dancing.

How we worship makes a big difference to God. Jesus says to worship the Father in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).

We worship with our heads and our hearts.

Our intellect and our emotion. Our thoughts and our feelings.

Our love and affection for the Lord, when it is rooted in the truth of who God is, provides the framework for worship pleasing to God.

Kids, even adults, differ in their knowledge of who God is and their relationship to Him. Reading the Bible and meditating on God's word helps young and old alike deepen their understanding of God.

Scripture says we are to Love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, body, and soul. Our entire being.

Faith and worship are not only spiritual experiences, but are emotional, physical, and intellectual as well.

Here is one of my favorite songs by Hillsong, Mighty to Save.
Enjoy!

Faith hope, and love,
Lori
